Introduction to Blogging for Business

Blogging for Business LogoOver the next month I am going to be publishing a series of articles on Blogging for Business which is a presentation and a program I have been hired to run for a small software company.

While I will be unable to reveal some specific advice for that company, there are a number of generalities that I am going to share with my readers.

Over the coming weeks I’m going to share some thoughts and strategy for utilizing blogging to help expand business and I hope the willing and able members of the blogosphere would be so kind as to join me in the discussion.

The Blogging for Business Mission:

It is the mission of Blogging for Business to show small, medium, or large organizations how to use blogging to successfully reach new audiences, improve visibility, and increase sales.

The Entry Format:

Each entry in the Blogging for Business campaign will contain some general theory and examples on blogging strategies; I will also provide statistics where applicable. At the end of each entry I’ll append a list of relevant reading, namely A TON of ProBlogger.

The Lessons:

The Blogging for Business and AjaxNinja readers will walk away with information on how to accelerate their business with lessons on the following subjects:

  • the basics of blogging
  • how to brand your business through blogging
  • how to develop and manage an active community of users
  • how to improve your search engine visibility with blogging
  • how to properly pitch products to your blog’s audience
  • how to utilize blogging services to increase visibility, discussion, and sales

I’m going to put the first couple of lessons online over the course of the day; after that I’ll meter them out over the course of the tail end of August and September.

On another note, I’d like to thank SXC.hu contributor pawel_231 for providing the stock image that I modified into the Blogging for Business logo.
